A living piece of Australian history built in 1857.

Located in the suburb of Lyneham, The Old Canberra Inn is one of the earliest licensed pubs in Canberra and, in fact, the building is older than the city itself.

The original slab hut was built in 1857, was a coach stop on the Yass to Queanbeyan run until 1887. It became a family home until 1974 until it was renovated and relicensed as The Old Canberra Inn.

The Old Canberra Inn is most well known for its craft beers, with their 10 beer taps exclusively serving craft beer. It also boasts a fun and relaxed family atmosphere, where the community gathers for great food, games and live music. It has grown to become one of the most guaranteed good times in Canberra in a rustic and authentic environment. It is also conveniently located for travelers coming from Sydney or Melbourne direction and tourists should plan a stop to this historic venue and enjoy a craft brew.
